ENHANCING ENGAGEMENT

For many pension schemes, producing a newsletter is the preferred way to keep members informed about their benefits. However, traditional newsletters created for both print and email are often discarded after their initial circulation.

This means that a lot of the relevant educational content can go to waste.

  • But what if an individual wishes to access specific content when they no longer have the newsletter to hand?

  • And how can a newsletter be made more interactive and efficient in order to boost member engagement?

These questions guided our approach to a recent project.

One of our clients came to us wanting to revamp their current newsletter by taking it digital. Their old newsletter was circulated three times a year over both email and print. However, they wanted to find a way to make it more accessible and efficient in communicating pension and benefit information to their members.

So, to provide their members with a more interactive and engaging experience, we took the newsletter and turned it into a website. The website acts as a central hub that allows users to browse through past editions quickly and easily, by filtering by date and keywords.

The website provides an easy way for users to access their pension information and connect to their administrator. Additionally, it allows the scheme to measure activity, meaning that the service can be continuously improved to meet users’ needs. By transforming the newsletter into a more accessible digital form, our client can now support their members’ understanding of their pension and benefits in an effective way.

This approach met our client’s objectives to:

  • Transform their newsletter into a digital format that creates a more interactive and accessible form of communication that keeps their members engaged.

  • Provide their members with an easy and efficient way to stay educated about their pension and benefits – including accessing previous issues of the newsletter.
